  1.             Some remarks for use

  3. * In a DOSBOX of Windows 95/98/ME it can hang when other programs are active. 
  4.   Close all running applications.
  5.   
  6. * If the program stops while it is testing,
  7.   look at the character in the upper right corner.
  8.   Reset the computer and start testing with SA52/character.
  9.   A list of possible characters and the test they represent you can find in:

  14. * Memory low in start screen: The processor cache is not measured.
  15.   (only old processors)

  17. * 'Not Enough memory' on the screen: 
  18.   There are to much resident programs in the 640KB part. 
  19.   Put 'HIMEM.SYS' and 'EMM386.EXE RAM NOEMS' and 'DOS=HIGH,UMB' in config.sys.
  20.   Load drivers high with 'DEVICEHIGH' and
  21.   programs in autoexec.bat with 'LOADHIGH'.
